Make money from your old stuff

Have you got loads of old junk just lying around in your house or loft gathering dust? Although you may see it as junk, someone else may see it as a bargain, so perhaps you should consider a car-boot sale or selling the item online. If your items are in reasonable condition, it’s likely that someone else will be interested in buying them.

Firstly, choose the right items. You should be confident that what you’re selling appeals to other people. It’s also important that the item is of good quality, so think, “Would I buy this item in this condition?” If not, then there’s no point dragging it all the way there.

Next, choose a local car-boot sale to attend or an online marketplace that suits your needs. A reputable or well-known one is probably your best bet, because it’s likely to attract more customers. Finally, you’ll need to consider your selling strategy and prices. How low are you willing to go on your items? Ideally, you don’t want to take anything home afterwards, but are you willing to take less than you wanted for certain items to achieve that?

Work from home as a direct seller

Are you looking to earn extra income from the comfort of your own home? Direct selling may be a good choice for you. Not only can you do the work wherever you go, it can also help to build confidence as you talk to people about the products you’re selling. As a direct seller for Forever Living, you are given the tools and the means to start your own business.

To get started as a Forever Business Owner, all you have to do is contact me at mp@magicalaloeforever.com. Then, you can purchase your first products with the business. There are plenty of options for starting out, from the Start Your Journey Pack, to a C9, or two tripacks of Forever’s aloe drinking gels, so you can choose the right fit for you. Once you have tried the products yourself, you’ll start to understand the benefits and how to suggest products to your customers. You’ll also get plenty of help from your upline and fellow FBOs if you have any questions.

As a Forever Business Owner, you can run your direct selling business as you wish. You may only want to do a few extra hours a week, or you may want to spend more time building your business. Forever Living gives you the opportunity, but your direct selling business is what you want to make of it and can be as flexible and as part-time as you choose.

Sell your skills

Everyone has their own unique set of skills. There will be plenty of skills that you have but your friends or family don’t. That’s why there are so many websites that allow you to freelance using your skills and earn money in the process.

Your skill doesn’t have to be work-related, it can be anything from gardening to graphic design, to gift wrapping or copywriting. As long as you are confident in your skills, you can sign up and try to get jobs. All of the websites are different, so you need to look at them carefully and choose the one that suits; some may need you to bid for jobs and others may just ask that you create a profile and let people come to you. While it does help to be skilled at a craft that’s in demand, for example graphics or web design, if you look hard enough, you’ll be able to find jobs to fit any skillset.

Sign up to be a food and drink taster

Did you know that the big supermarkets are always trying out new food and drink ideas for their own ranges but need people to test out the products before they put them to market? Well, that’s where you can help out and get paid in the process.

Often, these supermarkets will use other companies to test the products, so you may need to do some searching around to find the place to sign up. Once you’ve found one near you, you’ll probably be required to fill out your dietary requirements on a form. This is so that they don’t offer you tastings for prawns when you are allergic to shellfish, for example. Once you are signed up, they will send you through potential dates for tasting and all you need to do is confirm and then show up on the right day.

Once you’re there, you’ll likely be given several versions of very similar testers for you to choose between. What they will want to know will differ depending on what they want to get out of the tasting, but you may be asked to rate them on a scale or choose your favourite. If you only have a couple of free hours each month and you love your food and drink, then this is a great choice for you.

Whether you’d prefer a steady stream of extra income, or you just need a little bit extra every couple of months, there are lots of options for earning a bit of extra cash if you know where to look.
